Abalone Tech’s Outdoor 2F FTTA Cable are critical components in FTTA networks, transmitting optical data directly to antennas before conversion into radio frequencies for broadcast. Depending on the network architecture, these cables connect either to a distribution box (such as the PANAMA box range) mounted on the antenna (indirect architecture) or to distribution cabinets in the BTS (Base Transceiver Station) at the antenna base (direct architecture). They establish a bidirectional link via an SFP module integrated into the RRU (Remote Radio Unit). The cable features a UV-resistant LSZH-FR sheath and strong mechanical durability, ideal for outdoor use.
